NHL - MOTION GRAPHICS

If you had asked me where my career would’ve gone while I was still in high school, I can guarantee no one would ever guess I’d be working for the Pittsburgh Penguins in Motion Graphics.

Working in the NHL has been an absolute dream come true, and also the most intimidating process of my life. NHL Teams don’t typically hire a young woman who’s main experience is in hand drawn animation, but they took a chance on me and I’ve spent every day since making sure they never regret it. While it is intimidating working in a male dominated space (I am one of three women working in a creative office of ten people), I find so much joy and creativity in bringing the best work I can to the production. While it doesn’t come without its imposter syndrome filled moments; I’ve been taught so much, and I’ve been teaching my team more about what they could be incorporating into their works that they never considered before. I’ll keep doing my best as long as I’m here, and I’m excited to continue be a creative woman working in the sports industry!
